There are many problems with the operating system Vista, But it is not like that Microsoft designed it to fail,

you are right; that Microsoft should do all the testings and then launch it...but i think they are trying their best.

    Hello Jonathan,

I have a new RV that I am in the process or restoring already. I decided that a motor home would be cheaper to restore than starting from scratch.

As for Jim's site - the link you provided is good, maybe there was a glitch in the system when you tried.

This is Jim's email if you want to contact him -- Jim@ByrnesModelMachines.com
Good luck - and you can't find a better set of tools than Jim Byrnes produces.

SO.....If you can help me find out what the he-- happened to the www.byrnesmodelmachines.com site, and I'm prying real hard that he's NOT gone under....I'm coming into some extra $$$ shortly that I've been waiting on for almost one year. I have been waiting for two + years to purchase one of these beautiful saws and I'm going to be VERY UPSET with alot of people, if I cannot now get my very own! Can you help me please and I'll find out about your bus. You're wanting a 49-pac MCI fixer-upper...right-??? Jonathan

    Hi Frannie,

Thanks for reading my blog - I try my best!

I'm going to frame the area around the heater in my motor home and vent the heater through the frame work, pretty much the same way it was originally. Above the framework I'll build my workstation, and if I can figure it out -- make it so the workstation can be folded away and have seating appear. But that will take some thinking on my part.

The motor home rides great! Which may be because of the air ride installed when built. I'm not an expert, but I hope my knowledge grows as I continue the restoration.

I love the big band era, as well as just about every kind of music that has followed. So far I've made my music selection solely based on the length of the movie. I also love the music from the teens and twenties - these too will be included in future videos.

The next installment will be once I've completed the diagrams for the restoration (currently about 1/2 done), and these diagrams will be included in future videos.

Until then - thanks for watching and reading my blog.

You are such an inspiration to me! I have had a 1988 30' Grand Villa for 5 years. I've done some mods, but still have a lot to do.

I removed one of the twin beds and put in a desk the length of the bed. I used one of the drawers that was under the bed as part of the desk. Now I have room for my lappie and 3-way printer as well as some containers for storing office supplies and a file for my records.

Whoever had the unit before I bought it removed whatever was behind the driver's seat. I need to find some kind of seating that will fit there without blocking the heater vent. (Suggestions?)

I'm thinking of removing the co-captain seat and installing some storage. I travel with two smallish dogs and they ride and sleep in kennels, which are in front of and under the dining table, which lifts up and slides into the wall.

I have no slides, but traveling alone makes it ok unless I want to have someone in for coffee or a visit. Then the seating is a problem.

I would appreciate any suggestions you might have, and will be watching your work. I might get some ideas from what you do, and I love the music!

Oh, BTW, how is the ride in your coach? Mine is very rough, and I would like to install something to soften the bumps, but don't have any idea what is available.

Looking for your next installment!
I just found your blog and I LOVE IT! When we first started out we bought a 89 35ft Carriage Brougham 5th wheel. It was a beauty and I was amazed at how luxurious it was compared to other RVs in it's price range. It had water damage though so I fixed the leaks as best I could and left it as it was. It held together nicely (not one new drop!) but I always wondered how I could fix it "better" (the wood underneath). I'm anxious to watch how you fix the roof and all other upgrades you plan on doing!

Wow Jay this is some plan. I wish you the very best of luck with it.

I once had the same sort of idea - getting a camper van and touring Australia. But, life has a habit of turning one in other directions, and I didn't get to do it. Now I think I prefer to camp in a first-class hotel...LOL.

I've just returned from a month's tour of the States, meeting up with other miniaturists, and visting the Good Sam show in San Jose.

I hope to hear more about your adventures.

Cheers
