I'm not much of a writer, but there are time when I just have to blow off a bit of steam, and find the best way to do it is by writing it down and then editing, re-editing and then more editing. It can take me an hour or more just to write a single paragraph to my satisfaction -- the reason for this can be found quite often by reading my other posts, where I don't always take the extra time needed to make my entries, make sense!
I was talking with a friend yesterday about my motor home, and during the conversation she told me about an email she received, stating that; In November, Mr. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32 foot Winnebago motor home. On his first trip home, having joined the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the driver's seat to go into the back and make himself a cup of coffee. Not surprisingly, the Winnie left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Mr. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising him in the handbook that he could not actually do this. He was awarded $1,750,000 plus a new Winnebago. It was also said that Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home. The e-mail that announced the award concludes: “Are we, as a society, getting more stupid?”
